Our Story

as told by Ryan Lance

Juliana and I first met at a baby shower for our soon-to-be flower girl, Maya, dubbed Cinco de Maya. Our first conversation was about our interest in hockey, and how it was acceptable (but looked down upon) that Juliana was a Rangers fan because of her New York upbringing and residency. After a night of hanging out and sharing a first kiss (and some sangria), it was established that I would call Juliana the next day. We spent the whole next week's nights on the phone, and by the next weekend we were on our first official date. That night we learned that our two favorite teams would play each other in the NHL Playoffs. Fast forward two weeks, I had already asked Juliana to be my girlfriend and we were off to the Prudential Center to watch the Devils play the Rangers. It was the best date either of us could have ever imagined (because the Devils won).

As time went by, we went on our first vacation together to a house on Long Beach Island with friends. It was here where we first proclaimed our love for each other (Juliana said it first, or maybe it was me, the debate continues).

Just after two years into knowing each other, I got down on my knee and asked Juliana to marry me. She said Yes! and we will live happily ever after!

Juliana and I share a love for hockey, food and drinks, music, our friends and family, spending time with our nephew Jake, our niece Summer, and of course, each other. We can't wait to get married and spend the rest of our lives together!

The Big Day!!

The wedding will be held on September 18, 2015 at The Manor in West Orange, NJ.

Ceremony will be held on premises at 5:00 PM with the reception immediately following.

Accommodations

For a convenient and fun night, we have set up a block of rooms at the Marriott Residence Inn, just a short walk from The Manor. You can fit up to four people per room and a complimentary Full American Breakfast is included.
